Basic rules
Modus:
Every map will be played as Best of 21, which means the first player to score 11 rounds wins the map.
On non-arena-maps every death counts as a won round for your opponent.
Resupply:
You must not enter the resupply during a fight. You may enter the resupply after your opponent died. You are allowed to pick up Healthpacks and Ammo on the map.
Class/Weapons:
The only possible class to play is the soldier. All weapons are allowed.
Basic rules (non-arena-maps)
Starting the fight:
Both players need to wait in front of their resupply in the beginning of each round. The fight starts as soon as both players jumped 3 times.
Result:
The scoreboard doesn't show the real result. When you submit the result you have to count your own deaths as your opponents points and the other way round.
Match procedure
The usual procedure of a match should be like this:
- Get in contact with your opponent via IRC (#esl.tf2) or ICQ.
- Exchange the server IP and password
- Join the server, restart the game after both players have given their ready-signal
- Play the match with the rules above in mind.
- After the match, mandatory matchmedia are uploaded and the result is entered.
Serverconfig
You can download an official serverconfig here.
ESL Aequitas
The usage of ESL Aequitas is mandatory. The Aequitas file of every player has to be uploaded within 24 hours after the match and has to be saved for 14 days.
If you fail to upload the files in time, your opponent is allowed to file a protest and request a deletion of the match.
The player(s) and the team will be penalized with 3 penalty points for every missing or incomplete Aequitas file. If it can be proofed, that a player has manipulated a Aequitas file intentionally, he and his team will recieve 6 penalty points. Players, who fail to upload Aequitas files multiple times, can be banned from all Team Fortress 2 leagues.
Matchmedia
There must be at least three screenshots uploaded after the match ended (result 1, result 2 and status). Each player has to take care about the screenshots being uploaded.
Both players have to record demos from every single round of the match. Demos are recorded with the command 'record demoname'. The recording is stopped with 'stop'. It's necessary to store the demos for at least 14 days.
